Design & Production Manager
FULL TIME
The Role
You’ll be the main point of contact to our supply chain, managing the product lifecycle from to conception to delivery. The marketing team will rely on you to set the product direction, and the business will rely on you to build on the brands product mix by introducing best-selling products and ensuring that core styles are always in stock.
Working closely with the Founders, you’ll be taking the reins of Design & Production for the business. Aligning with growth plans, you’ll be adding new products & categories to the range helping shape the future of the brand.
About you
You’ll have 5+ year’s experience in dealing with offshore suppliers.
You know how to define and deliver quality goods.
You have an innate ability to forecast and interpret trends into commercial designs as well as a numbers focused brain to calculate margins & forecast stock replenishment.
You’re able to work autonomously as well as lead, and growing a small team with you at the helm is one of your next career goals.
Bonus points for
Experience in homewares, or fashion design. Creating spec sheets and managing samples from design through to pre-production, QC and delivery.
A very strong eye for colour & an understanding fabric types, functions and properties.
A history of travelling to China for business.
Fluent in Adobe, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.
An above average Microsoft Excel comprehension.
Experience in order forecasting and demand planning
Textile design skills.
What you'll be doing
Design & Development
Adding new products & categories to the range shaping the future of the brand.
Researching, designing, sketching, creating spec sheets & tech packs for new styles & updates of best-selling styles.
Ensuring that product designed adheres to the product hierarchy and that product delivered meets quality, delivery, sell through and margin expectations.
Supply Chain
Creating and maintaining meaningful and collaborative relationships with suppliers.
Establishing and managing critical path and production schedule, ensuring on time delivery of product. Managing purchase orders, range plans & budgeting.
Product
Accountable for ensuring that the current range is in stock, always. Working with sales budgets and sku velocity forecasts to place repeat orders with suppliers with precision-planned timelines and order quantity accuracy.
Working closely with the marketing team to sell the dream of the product direction and owning product performance.
